Embed YouTube Videos in Your Blog

 First and foremost, these guidelines are not specific to this post. It should come as no surprise that if you Google "YouTube installation instructions," you'll be able to discover a set of step-by-step instructions very immediately. However, I believe that most writers will find the following lines quite helpful if they focus for a few minutes on what I like to term "creating my own steps in list form."

 The setup for uploading a video to the internet that I will discuss is in a WordPress blog. Also, while utilising WordPress is not required for uploading a YouTube video, it does make the explanation a bit easier if you already have a WordPress site.

For your blog, you'll need to think of a video. This may be a video that you made yourself or one that you have permission to use. Please double-check that you BBC News Tech use the video! After that, you'll need to upload the video to YouTube. 



If you aren't already a member, you should join up for a free YouTube account. Is membership required in order to see videos? The answer depends on whether you're making the movie yourself and searching for a free location to put it, or whether you already have the potential to host it on your own website.

After you've selected which video you're going to utilise, whether it's one you've uploaded to YouTube or one you've obtained permission to use, you'll want to do the following. Copy the video's URL from your web browser's address bar and paste it into an open notepad file while watching it on YouTube. Before you paste the video link URL into your post, check to see if the visual editor is turned on on the editing screen of the posting screen.

If you do, you'll want to turn off that function for this article before copying the YouTube link into the post, as numerous others have pointed out.
